I was born in Jerusalem at 1979. I am 9th, 7th, 6th and 3rd generation in Israel.
After serving in the army as a Tank Commander I held a camera for the first time. In that decisive moment I understood I have always been a photographer. I practice photography as a teacher and head of the "Wizo" high school photography department (the oldest photography department in Israel); Printing photography exhibitions for other photographers in my small and fun business; I publish works by other photographers as books and in a photo-magazine I'm editing; and creating my own work. I try to do my best to be engaged with the world and reality, while I take care of my three children and my loving wife takes care of me. P.S. 19/9/2019 (what a date!) Since I turned 100% digital, I took over 80, 000 photographs (31,613 are family photographs). Today I arranged my site a little better (I have not touched it since 2014). I will do my best to upload new work. Yigal Feliks. |
